David Beckham : James Corden strips off

He’s one of the most famous men on the planet, and with one of the most sought-after physiques too.

But David Beckham has been undeniably upstaged by his best friend James Corden in a spoof video for the British comic’s new TV endeavour The Late Late Show.

In the moody black and white clip filmed ahead of the sports star’s appearance on the show on Monday night, the two stars are seen in their underwear for a fake advertising campaign for ‘D&J Briefs’.

It opens with a close-up of David’s tattooed body, rising up over his white underwear and up over his honed muscles until it reaches his face, brooding down the lens.

And the comedy moment comes when the former Gavin & Stacey star steps in, also wearing a pair of white boxers, his not-so-muscular physique on full show.

What an entrance: With both of the men dressed in underwear for their fake label D&J Briefs, James makes his arrival, completely taking the focus off hunky David.

Mimicking David’s pose, the 36-year-old adopts a hulking position while fully showing off his special own brand of underpants, before putting his arm around his co-star and pal, their faces perfectly serious despite the comedy focus of the clip.

‘For a man to be truly happy…’ David begins speaking over the twinkly music in the background.

‘He needs to be able to see within himself,’ James adds.

‘You spend your life being watched, getting pushed, being judged. Horizons are difficult to see,’ continues David, who does well by this point not to break down into giggles.

‘Beauty is skin deep; it’s underneath that counts,’ David continues before James concludes the funny fake advertisement: ‘D&J Briefs. It’s underwear for a man with a great body.

‘And David Beckham.’

The final scene of the hilarious new spoof sees the British star get down while in his monogrammed boxers to do the snake on the floor, completely stealing focus from David, who is showing off his muscles one last time.

This isn’t the first time the pals have worked together before: they previously joined forces for an iconic Sport Relief comedy skit back in 2010 along with other members of the England football team, and then again for their much-adored bath scene in 2011.
